From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season are included.
The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his obligations and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons

- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their status as key figures in the powerful family could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
